Costa Rican President Francisco Orlich lauded Israel today during a surprise appearance at a meeting here of the Central Zionist Organization of this city. President Orlich reported on his impressions of Israel during a visit there last March before he assumed the presidency.
A featured speaker at the meeting was Benno Weiser of Jerusalem, director of the Central Institute for Cultural Relations between Israel, Latin America, Spain and Portugal. Mr. Weiser, who arrived here this weekend for a brief visit, was greeted by officials of the Israel Embassy and Jewish communal leaders.
