President Weizmann Pardons Haganah Officer Who Ordered Execution of Tubianski

President Chaim Weizmann today granted a pardon to Iser Beeri, former Haganah officer who ordered the execution of Meir Tubianski who was later exonerated by the Israel Government which admitted that a tragic mistake had been made. Beeri had been found guilty of manslaughter and was ordered to serve a symbolic one-day jail sentence which was scheduled for Dec. 22.
