President’s Committee on Religion and Welfare in Armed Forces Ends Activities

The President’s Committee on Religion and Welfare in the Armed Forces, whose chairman is Frank L. Weil and whose membership is composed of clergymen and laymen of the three major faiths, this weekend rendered its final report to President Truman.

The Chief Executive expressed his thanks to the body and said that he regretted that Congress had not provided the necessary funds to continue the operation of the committee.
