The appointment of Preston David as executive director of the New York City Commission on Human Rights was announced today by Simeon Golar, commission chairman. Mr. David has been the director of the department of social and community services for the New York housing authority since 1962. Previously, he was director of administration for the Jewish Child Care Association and associate executive director of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies Employment and Guidance Service.
