Private hearings of the McCormack Congressional Committee to Investigate Nazi Activities were held on Friday in the Bar Administration Building on West Forty-fourth street. They were scheduled to continue through Saturday.

Congressman Samuel Dickstein, it was reported, was the only member of the committee in attendance. Dickstein gave indication before the hearings that he would interrogate Communists with regard to their activities and support, particularly with respect to the Henry Street Settlement, which the representative recently branded as “a nest of Communist spies.”

It is understood that a number of New York Nazi suspects were also brought before the congressman on Friday.
