Prof. Cornelius A. Rijk, a Roman Catholic priest who sharply criticized a negative statement issued by a Vatican spokesman following Premier Golda Meir’s meeting with Pope Paul VI, has been “quietly removed” from the Vatican Secretariats for Christian-Jewish relations, it was disclosed here today. According to an article in the quarterly Ter Harkenning a periodical devoted to Christian-Jewish relations, the Dutch priest was removed for his “too pro-Jewish views.”

David Ben-Gurion said today he was convinced that peace would be restored to the Middle East within 10 years and that the time was ripe now to start making contacts with the Arabs.
