Pro-palestine Group Formed in New Zealand; Asks Abrogation of White Paper

A Pro-Palestine Committee, including leading clergymen and public figures, was established here today at a meeting called for that purpose. The meeting adopted a resolution asking full implementation of the Balfour Declaration and decided to launch a petition campaign asking abrogation of the White Paper.

Among the members of the new group are: Bishop Holland, head of the Anglican Church in New Zealand; Catholic Archbishop O’Shea; Minister for Rehabilitation Major Skinner, and Sir Thomas Hunter, the mayor of Wellington.
