“There is nothing basically wrong with the immigrants who come to Israel from North Africa and the Middle East,” Professor Ben Zion Dinur, Israeli Minister of Education and Culture, said at a reception given in his honor by the American Friends of the Alliance Israelite Universelle here. Their integration, he added, is greatly facilitated when the immigrants have received an adequate schooling in their country of origin.
In that connection Prof. Dinur praised the work done by the schools of the Alliance Israelite Universelle in the various Mediterranean countries. The Israel Minister, who is president of the Israeli Committee of the Alliance, also expressed his appreciation of the work done by the Alliance schools in Israel.
