Professor Sol Liptzin of City College has been appointed chairman of the newly re-established Commission on Jewish Affairs of the American Jewish Congress, it was announced today.
A leading Jewish educator and author, Dr. Liptzin will formulate a series of Jewish cultural and educational activities aimed at studying the changing developments in American Jewish life and strengthening an understanding of and identification with Judaism and its values, according to the announcement.
