The Zionist Convention was to some extent overshadowed by the enthusiasm aroused by Jewish Day. The delegates were in a festive mood and perhaps did not give the concentration they would have, under different circumstances, given to the problems. Nevertheless the convention has tended to point to the centrality of Palestine in the present world situation.

It is becoming evident to Zionists and non-Zionists that Palestine is looming today as a haven of refuge for the Jewish people.
