Rabbi Irving F. Reichert has resigned as rabbi of the Congregation Emanu-El of this city where he served as spiritual leader for more than 17 years, the congregation announced. Rabbi Reichert, who has been named rabbi emeritus of the congregation, has been active in communal affairs and will continue to serve in a number of communal and national organizations.
