Word has been received here of the death in Jerusalem of Rabbi Jacob Isaac Teitelbaum, father of Rabbi Aaron Teitelbaum of New York, prominent in the work of the Mizrachi Organization.
Rabbi Teitelbaum was seventy-six years old and known as a scholar. He played a prominent part in the old Jewish Community. He had been a resident in Jerusalem for more than fifty years.
He is survived by Rabbi Aaron Teitelbaum and a daughter, the widow of Rabbi Israel Z. Hurwitz.
