Rabbi William F. Rosenblum of Temple Israel wrote Friday to W. G. Von Schmuss, managing director of Radio City, complimenting that organization for its attitude in calling in representatives of the Jewish community to see a preview of a new moving picture, “Power,” for the purpose of obtaining their opinion as to whether the film contains anything of a racially offensive nature.
The production, based on the novel, “Jew Suss,” by Lion Feuchtwanger, was shown on several days to representatives of numerous Jewish organizations. The consensus, according to Rabbi Rosenblum, was that it contains nothing which is likely to cause unfavorable reaction.
