Rabbi Leibert Named Chaplain of Hollywood Legion Post

Rabbi Julius Leibert, of Temple Emanu-El, was elected chaplain of Hollywood Post No. 43, American Legion, considered the largest and strongest American Legion Post. Rabbi Leibert is the only Rabbi eligible for the chaplaincy on the Coast, having served in the American Army during the war. He is a member of the Officers’ Reserve. He succeeds Father Michael Connety at the post.
