Rabbi Quits Pulpit for Advertising Agency Post

Rabbi Louis J. Schwefel yesterday resigned his pulpit at Temple Beth El, New Rochelle, which he has occupied for the past five years, to assume the vice-presidency of the Sweetland Advertising Company of New York City. The trustees of the congregation voted to hold a dinner in the rabbi’s honor on January 6.
