Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver of Cleveland urged the Jews to unite with other minorities to oppose the “forces of hate” in an address yesterday to 2,000 members of the New York chapter of Hadassah at a tea in the Hotel Commodore.

“Every Jew realizes that we have entered a new era in our historic evolution,” Rabbi Silver declared. “One feature of the new world in the making is the increase in state concentration and in its dominance over and control of the lives of the people.”
