Dr. David I. Golovensky,rabbi of the Beth El congregation here, will join the faculty of Mercy College, a Catholic Women’s college in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., beginning with the fall semester. He will teach a course for juniors and seniors in “Pathology in Personal, Family and Social Life.” In the spring semester, he will lead a course in “Perspectives of Jewish Theology” in which he will discuss the beliefs and practices of Judaism as well as Zionism and Israel. Dr. Golovensky received his B.A. from Yeshiva College, his Master’s degree from the New School for Social Research and his Ph.D. from New York University where he was a member of the sociology faculty.
