Rabbinic leaders of Israel’s fervently Orthodox Shas Party decided to oppose a bill to dissolve the Knesset and hold general elections. The move dealt a setback to former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s bid to run again for the premiership, but Netanyahu said he will still seek the Likud Party’s nomination in party primaries Tuesday.
