The Rabbinical assembly of America today announced the publication of the first uniform and official prayer book for Conservative Jewry. “For some time the conviction has been general that the time was ripe for a prayer book that would express the viewpoint of Conservative Judaism and bear the official imprint of the Rabbinical Assembly, representing the spiritual leadership of the movemment and of the United Synagogue-the lay congregational organization,” the announcement said.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
