At a conference of Robbis of New York called to protest against the proposed restructive immigration bill, a Committee was elected to attend the hearing on the Johnson bill in Washington. Those elected to serve with this delegation are Rabbis Margolis, Judelivitch, Langer, Chevorov, Klein, Bunin, Epstein, Glazer, Lederman, Bunimovitz, and Kessen. It was stated at the conference by Rabbi Glazer, that despite the decision to make the hearing on the Johnson bill behind closed doors, he has information from a good source which makes him confident that the House Immigration Committee will permit the delegation of Rabbis to appear before them.

A resolution was adopted at this conference calling upon the Rabbis of every Community in the Country to register their protest against the proposed restrictive immigration bill with their respective Senators and Congressman.

The conference also passed a resolution expressing the desire that law be formulated whereby relatives of both citizens and non-citizen would be admitted despite the quota.
