Rabin Expresses Israel’s Condolences to Bereaved Families of Americans

Yitzhak Rabin, Israel’s Ambassador to the US today expressed Israel’s condolences to the bereaved families of Americans who were the victims of the “senseless act of terrorism” at Lydda Airport. In a visit to Under Secretary of State John N, Irwin II, Rabin related the tragic events at the airport and transmitted Israel’s urgent request that the US “adopt all necessary measures” for the safety of passengers and planes bound for Israel. He stressed that Israel put the blame for the terrorist attack on the Arab governments, particularly Lebanon.
