Recruiting Opens in Palestine for New Engineers Unit; Arabs, Jews Unite in Fete

Recruiting began today in Palestine for another unit of the Royal Engineers, Reuters reported from Jeruselem. There are already 6,500 Palestine Jews enlisted in the British forces and a volunteer force is now in formation.

The authorities in Palestine have discovered Bren gun experts and other highly skilled technicians among recently-arrived refugees, and their services will be used in manufacture of munitions in India, The Times reported.
