Reform Judaism’s 1952-53 Drive Brings $1, 371, 791 in Cash

The 1952-53 combined campaign for ### institutions of American Reform Judaism raised a total of $1,371, 791 i### June 30, the end of the drive’s fiscal year, it was announced today by D### Hollender, general chairman of the campaign.

The total represents an increase of 12 percent over last year’s final ### $1,222,104. In the four-year period since an intensive fund-raising can### inaugurated to meet the maintenance needs of the Union of American He### gregations and the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, ### campaign has virtually doubled its income, Dr. Hollender said.

Dr. Hollender reported substantial increases in all categories of gi### individual gifts of $5,000 each setting the pace for the nation. The comb### paign receives its maintenance income from individual gifts, congregat### ments and community welfare fund grants. An analysis of the campaign ### shows marked increases in individual gifts and congregational dues.
