A nation wide committee to seek funds for assistance to refugees has been formed by a conference of Jewish leaders here. Officers of the new Canadian Jewish Committee for Refugees are Samuel Bronfman, Montreal financier, chairman; Egmont Frankel, Toronto, vice chairman, and Lazarus Phillips, Montreal, treasurer. The conference was called to implement a resolution adopted by the recent assembly of the Canadian Jewish Congress.
