With the snow melting in the principal Alpine passes an increasing number of Austrian refugees, mainly Jews, were reported today crossing the Swiss border and wandering into the lower Engadin and Grisons cantons, seeking food and shelter. Cases of mysterious disappearances and suicides among Austrian Jews are reported here daily.
