Several months ago Emil Zipp, saloonkeeper, was instrumental in starting a local branch of the German-Austrian War Veterans Association, with headquarters in his hotel, located at the corner of Paterson and Boiling Springs avenues.
This week Comrade Zipp received word from Germany that his storm troop brother, Alphonse, had been “liquidated” in the recent anti-Hitler “purge.”
