The coffin containing the remains of Hannah Senesh–Palestinian heroine who was executed by Hungarian Nazi authorities after she was parachuted into Europe to aid in the underground escape of Jews in the Balkans–was buried on Mt. Herzl Hill here today with full military honors.
Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett eulogized the memory of the young poetess. Her remains lay in state in the courtyard of the Jewish Agency building here prior to interment.
