Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.), the only Jewish Republican currently in the U.S. House of Representatives, will return to Congress. Cantor won re-election Tuesday, defeating Democrat Brad Blanton. The only independent in the House, Rep. Bernard Sanders (I-Vt.), also was re-elected. Sanders, who is Jewish, faced both Democratic and Republican challengers.
