Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said he would send a letter urging President Bush not to pull American peacekeepers out of the Sinai. The withdrawal “would be interpreted by Israel’s enemies as a weakening of U.S. support for Israel” and could further destabilize the region, says the letter, which is being sent to members of U.S. Congress for support.
