Plans to remove all displaced Jews from Germany by 1951 were discussed at a parley between Hias and Joint Distribution Committee representatives at Berchtesgaden, it was learned here today.
The conferees were told that under the new U.S. DP Immigration Act Some 25,000 Jews would enter the U.S., while Canada, Australia, Israel, South American countries and others would take an additional 25,000 persons, thus ending the Jewish DP problem.
