Secretary of State Cordell Hull yesterday received a delegation led by Rabbi Solomon B. Freehof of Pittsburgh, president of the Central Conference of American Rabbis, which presented to him the reports and resolutions adopted by the American Jewish Conference.
Upon leaving Mr. Hull’s office, the delegation issued the following statement: “A full and frank discussion was held on the problems involved in the rescue of Jews of Europe, the rehabilitation of European Jews after the war and the reconstitution of Palestine as the Jewish Commonwealth, in which subjects the Secretary showed keen and deep interest.”
