A delegation of the local lodge of the B’nai B’rith yesterday submitted a memorandum to Governor McGrath offering evidence of distribution of anti-Semitic literature at Naval stations, attacks on Jewish children by hoodlums, and desecration of synagogues.

The delegation demanded that the Governor take immediate steps to counteract activities “which are undermining the very core of democracy by attempting to deny the ideals of individual equality and religious liberty.” Gov. McGrath was asked to appoint a commission “with appropriate powers to investigate, prosecute and eradicate these un-American developments.”
