Rio de Janeiro is hosting a Jewish arts festival. The May 9-16 festival will feature some klezmer music, lectures and 12 Jewish-themed films. Some 6,000 people, Jews and non-Jews alike, are expected to attend, organizers say.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
