Murder charges were brought Monday before the Tel Aviv District Court against Ami Popper, the confessed killer of seven Palestinian workers in a hiring field near Rishon le-Zion on May 20.
The charges followed a ruling by psychiatrists that Popper is capable of standing trial for his actions.
The trial was due to begin Tuesday.
