Ritual Murder Libel Brings Attacks on Jews in Memel

Severe anti-Jewish excesses that followed spreading of the ancient ritual murder libel in connection with the disappearance of a Christian girl broke out during the week-end in Kretinga, Memel, it became known today.

Ten persons were arrested for participating in the street attacks, during which many Jews were wounded. New attacks were launched following the arrests, bringing injuries to many more Jews.
