Robin Gilbert, a longtime employee of World ORT, died Jan. 11 in Geneva at age 76 after a long illness. Gilbert organized the group’s world congresses from 1960 through 1997. “He was a lovely man, a gentleman; highly educated, an intellectual who had a great interest in literature and the arts,” said Gaby Meyassed, head of World ORT’s Education and Technology Department.
