George Rockwell and nine members of his American Nazi Party continued their hunger strike for the third straight day in jail here where they are under arrest for disturbing the peace. The Nazis were arrested last week while attempting to picket the movie “Exodus” and a rally of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
The Nazis, who came here to conduct a “hate” campaign against Jews and Negroes, will probably go on trial this week. Jailers said the 43-year-old Rockwell had declared that he would continue the hunger strike so long as he was jailed.
