Romania is slated to commemorate its first Holocaust Remembrance Day on Tuesday. The annual commemoration was one of several measures Romania implemented after government officials got themselves into hot water last year when they denied that the Holocaust had taken place on Romanian soil.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
