Romania’s president is accusing Ha’aretz of misquoting him on the Holocaust. But the Israeli daily newspaper says Ion Iliescu’s accusations are baseless. According to the paper, which published the controversial interview in late July, Iliescu said the “Holocaust was not unique to the Jewish population in Europe.”
