Angelo Terracina, a Rome Jew who was arrested earlier this month during a clash in the city’s Jewish quarter with members of the neo-fascist Movimento Sociale Italiano, was acquitted here today by a Rome tribunal which dismissed, for lack of evidence, charges that he had assaulted a police officer.
During this trial, Mr. Terracina admitted that he had struck a man who, he said, approved of a remark by a woman bystander that “the Nazis killed only 6,000,000 of them; they should have killed them all.” The public attorney also conceded the strong provocation of the neo-fascist group when they drove through the Jewish quarter.
