Ronald Solomon, managing editor of the B’nai B’rith Messenger in Los Angles, has been appointed Los Angeles correspondent to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, it was announced by Martin Fax, president of JTA. In welcoming the announcement, Gilbert Thompson, executive editor and general manager of The Messenger, noted that the appointment creates a closer relationship between The Messenger and JTA.
Solomon, a 26-year-old native of Stamford Ct., has been with The Messenger for three years, two of those in his current capacity as managing editor. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Temple University and was previously employed by the United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York.
