MAGISTRATE MORRIS ROTHENBERG, CO-CHAIRMAN OF THE JEWISH AGENCY COUNCIL, IN A STATEMENT TODAY HAILED THE “HARMONIOUS ENDING” OF THE ZIONIST CONGRESS AND AGENCY COUNCIL SESSIONS AS SHOWING “RESPONSIBILITY OF JEWISH LEADERSHIP, BOTH ZIONIST AND NON-ZIONIST.

THE ARAB-JEWISH CONFERENCE AUTHORIZED BY THE COUNCIL MUST BE BASED ON THE BALFOUR DECLARATION AND THE MANDATE, MR. ROTHENBERG SAID, ADDING THAT REGARDLESS OF THE OUTCOME OF THE NEGOTIATIONS THE FIRST CONCERN OF ZIONISTS AND NON-ZIONISTS MUST BE CONTINUATION OF UPBUILDING ACTIVITIES IN PALESTINE.
