A dramatic scene was enacted last night at the meeting of the Society of Roumanian Students in Paris.

During the meeting a student, Janescu, a son of a rich Roumanian landlord, mounted the tribune and exclaimed: “I went along the wrong road when I joined the anti-Semites. Then I did not know what they were planning to do. I regret my mistake and ask the pardon of my Jewish fellow students. There should be no difference between Christians and Jews in Roumania,” he declared.

The students at the meeting endeavored to interrupt Janescu and threatened to “deal with him outside.”
