A week of banquets for Dr. Bernhard Kahn, former European director of the Joint Distribution Committee, who is leaving for New York to become honorary chairman of the committee’s European Council, began last night with a dinner addressed by Louis Oungre, Edward Oungre, Morris Troper, David J. Schweitzer and Raymond Lambert. Other dinners for Dr. Kahn will be given by Baron Rothschild and leaders of various Jewish organizations.
