The Rumanian Government has issued a decree limiting the remaining Jewish lawyers to practicing only on behalf of Jewish clients, the German wireless reported today. War invalids, war orphans and those decorated for bravery are exempted.
German dispatches also quoted the Bucharest newspaper Porunca Vremii as reporting that a “territorial movement” for establishment of a Jewish home outside Palestine was growing among Rumanian Jewish youth. The paper said official Jewish leaders opposed the movement because they still believed the Jews might retain their position in Europe.
