Bucharest newspapers reaching here today report that Jewish printers in Rumania have been ordered to surrender their “workers’ books” or “masters” licenses,” depending on whether they are employers or employees, within ten days. A decree has been issued barring Jews from the printing industry.

A demand that international anti-Jewish legislation be adopted by all European countries “after a German victory,” is voiced by the French anti-Semite, Rene Martel, writing in the Nazi-controlled Brusseler Zeitung.

Marital, who is apparently at odds with the Petain government, charges that “the Jewish problem in France has not yet been solved,” and that persons in high places are still assisting Jews. He asserts that the alleged inadequacy of the anti-Jewish measures flows from the fact that they have not been formulated properly and contain loopholes through which the Jews are able to evade the laws. Martel also charges that the Commissariats for Jewish Affairs is not sufficiently active in enforcing the anti-Semitic legislation.
