In appreciation of the Joint Distribution Committee’s relief activities in the famine areas of Rumania, Chevu Stoica, general manager of the national railroad, has granted free transport for a shipment of 3,500 tons of corn which was sent from America by the J.D.C. Most of the food is destined for Jews in the drought area, but some of the cargo will be turned over to the government for distribution among non-Jews.
