Every possible measure of precaution was taken today by the authorities in order that the anti-Semitic student congress in Crajova which opens on Sunday should pass quietly and without any anti-Jewish disturbances.
At the same time the Jewish population in Crajova, numbering about 13,000, will abstain from showing themselves on the streets on Sunday in order not to provoke any incidents.
The Rumanian Nazi organization is held responsible here for stimulating the anti-Jewish riots which took place during the week. This organization is led by Stephen Tatarescu, brother of the Rumanian Premier. The Premier himself is determined to suppress any anti-Jewish activities of the organization which his brother heads.
The anti-Jewish disturbances staged this week in the crowded streets of Bucharest as well as in the university are also attributed to the Iron Guard.
