The Transylvanian Administrative High Court at Cluj has invalidated the action of the Cluj Municipal Council in barring Jews from the benefits of a recent decree reopening citizenship registers to persons possessing proof of nationalization who had not been recognized as citizens in the recent citizenship revision. The decision is expected to have a far-reaching effect on the large number of Jews who while possessing the necessary qualifications have not been recognized as citizens.
