A meeting called here to protest the Anglo-American inquiry committee’s reported decision to bypass Rumania on its fact finding tour of Europe, today decided to launch a nation-wide petition campaign asking the probers to recommend the abolition of the White Paper, unrestricted immigration under the supervision of the Jewish Agency, and establishment of a Jewish state.

Speakers at the meeting included Chief Rabbi Shafran, the president of the Zionist organization, and other Jewish leaders. It was reported that Jews were crowding the Palestine office here to register for immigration.
